the ACS division of Chemistry and the Law focuses on educating others about issues that arise at the intersection of chemistry and the law.
We have programmed for more than 20 years at the American Chemical Society’s two annual national meetings on topics related to FDA regulatory and patent laws as they pertain to chemical industries and technology. More recently our programming has delved into forensics. We have also had an occasional presence at local and regional meetings.
Besides programming at ACS meetings, our division has served the ACS community by running initiatives such as the Legal Evaluation Network, an organization dedicated to matching qualified attorneys with ACS members with legal needs.
